Cold and flu season is over but COVID-19 isn’t, so it’s time to bust out the homemade remedies again – like this Elderberry Syrup recipe!
As a mom, I know how tough it (and miserable) it can be to watch your child go through a bad case of the cold or flu. And if you happen to get one yourself, taking care of your kids because 3 times harder! Fortunately, mother nature has already created some natural remedies to help us avoid minor illness and lessen how long they last should we get them.
This Elderberry Syrup recipe is a lifesaver during cold and flu season and is great to have on hand as a preventative during this time. As soon as I feel myself getting sick I take a dose of it and it really does prevent things from getting worse. When my son starts to sniffle or gets a cough, I just give him this DIY remedy and within an hour his runny nose and cough are gone – I promise you! Elderberry is life.
There are a lot of holistic remedies you can use for cold and flu. Now, of course, there is time and a place for conventional medicine and pediatrician visits. But keep in mind, when it comes to the common cold or the flu, there isn’t much that conventional medicine can do either.
